  • Bakers fulfilling your orders

7. Microphone & Speech-to-Text (Voice Orders)

The Bako mobile app includes a voice-based ordering feature that allows you to place orders by speaking. To enable this feature, the app requests access to your device's microphone.

What we access:

  • Your microphone (only when you actively use the voice order feature)
  • The audio is processed in real-time using on-device or cloud-based speech recognition to convert your speech to text

What we do NOT do:

  • We do not record, store, or share your audio without your knowledge
  • The microphone is never accessed in the background or without your explicit action
  • Audio data is not used for advertising or profiling

Permission control:

  • You can deny or revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings
  • Denying microphone access will only disable the voice order feature; all other app features remain fully functional

We use Android's SpeechRecognizer API and/or Google's Speech-to-Text service for voice recognition. When cloud processing is used, Google's privacy policy also applies. See Google Privacy Policy.

Our platform may include links to third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
